My Livescribe Pen
Greg bought me a Livescribe pen for Christmas (an early present). The pen lets the user upload handwritten material directly to a computer with the appropriate software. From there, uploads can be emailed or posted publicly. Since the software for Macs is new, it lacks many of the capabilities that have been developed for PCs, so I cannot (yet) upload my own material to the Livescribe website (which is the only way to share it publicly), but I'm looking forward to being able to do that soon.

This pen is pretty awesome. It not only records handwritten material, but it records sound as well, and it links the sound to writing in real time. So when I upload written documents to my computer, if I click on a piece of the text, I can hear what was being said at the moment I was writing that piece of text. The piece below demonstrates this pretty well.

The software also enables searches for words/phrases/sentences. Handy journal writers, and it works well, too. What a fun toy!
